Sensor Validation Engineer
Applied Intuition is seeking a Sensor Validation Engineer to enhance the fidelity and accuracy of synthetic simulations across various industries. This role involves leading sensor validation and characterization for Sensor Sim and Self-Driving System (SDS) products, contributing to the development of autonomous perception systems.
The Sensor Validation Engineer will design and execute tests to correlate real and synthetic sensor outputs, develop hardware and software components for data collection and analysis, and improve underlying scenes, materials, and models to enhance simulation quality. Additionally, the role includes collaborating with customers to validate their models within the simulation environment and authoring technical documents detailing results.
Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience and hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics Engineering, or a related field. Required skills include experience with hardware and software components of sensors such as Lidar, Radar, and Cameras; proficiency in data analysis, including statistics and signal processing; and programming experience in Python and C++. Technical proficiency in a Linux/Unix environment, including command-line interface navigation, shell scripting, and managing software dependencies, is also essential.
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $125,000 to $222,000 annually, along with equity and comprehensive benefits.
