Senior Validation Engineer, Cybersecurity

Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Validation Engineer specializing in cybersecurity to join our team in Southfield, Michigan. This role is integral to ensuring the security and reliability of our vehicle electronic control units (ECUs) as we continue to innovate in the luxury electric vehicle market.

The Senior Validation Engineer will be responsible for leading the security validation of vehicle ECUs, ensuring that software requirements are clear, complete, and testable. This includes creating comprehensive test plans that outline testing approaches, objectives, scopes, resources, and schedules. Additionally, the role involves identifying opportunities to improve validation processes, testing methodologies, and overall product quality.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in testing networking and/or automotive products. Proficiency in automation scripting languages such as Python or Shell is required, as well as experience in developing system-level test cases and verifying security features like Secure Boot, OTP fuses, Secure Update, and JTAG. Strong debugging and analytical skills, along with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, are essential.
