As a Senior Technical Program Manager - Releases at Canva, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating the seamless execution of major product releases, such as Canva Create and Droptober. This position involves overseeing the entire release lifecycle, ensuring that high-quality features are delivered to users without disruption. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including product, engineering, marketing, and user feedback, to coordinate and synchronize feature launches, maintaining alignment with Canva's strategic goals.

Key responsibilities include governing the end-to-end release process, developing and maintaining a comprehensive release calendar, and spearheading the evolution of release practices by designing and implementing scalable processes and tooling. You will create and refine documentation to guide teams through the release process, facilitate effective communication and collaboration between departments, monitor release performance, and drive continuous improvement based on retrospectives and stakeholder feedback. Additionally, you will manage scope changes to align with shifting business strategies and ensure a unified release process across teams and strategic goals.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical program management or release management within an established and complex organization. Domain experience with release engineering, deployment pipelines, or platform infrastructure is essential. A deep understanding of release management processes, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies is required, along with experience coordinating large-scale, cross-functional releases. The role demands comfort with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment, strong communication skills to lead through influence, a process-oriented yet flexible approach, and a dedication to personal growth and improvement in the TPM craft.
