Senior Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting Associate

Upstart is seeking a Senior Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting Associate to join its finance organization. This role is integral to ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, contributing to the company's mission of expanding access to affordable credit through innovative AI-driven solutions.

The associate will be responsible for preparing SEC filings, including 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K reports, and maintaining the SEC reporting platform. Key duties include supporting month-end and quarter-end close activities related to revenue recognition and stock-based compensation, implementing new accounting standards, and liaising with external auditors.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in SEC reporting or public accounting with public companies, a strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, and a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. Preferred qualifications include CPA certification and experience in the financial services industry.
