Senior Systems Engineer
The Senior Systems Engineer at Voyager Technologies, Inc. is a pivotal role within the Products business line, focusing on the development and lifecycle management of the company's space computers portfolio. This position is integral to the Engineering department and reports directly to the Vice President of Product Design. The role is based in San Diego, CA, and requires full onsite presence.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams comprising customers, engineers, and program management to develop requirements verification and compliance matrices, ensuring all customer requirements are met with appropriate test methods and documentation. The engineer will design and finalize top-level system architectures and block diagrams, define internal and external interfaces, and ensure that the system architecture is realizable, testable, maintainable, and supportable. Additional duties involve performing optimization activities, analysis, trade studies, supporting integration, verification, validation, and developing system-level verification, qualification, acceptance, and production test plans.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or systems engineering, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of four years of relevant work experience. Familiarity with requirements management software such as JAMA or DOORS is essential. The role demands leadership experience with a proven ability to drive projects and teams to successful completion, as well as experience in deeply technical product development. Proficiency in flight-software systems, ground-system software, mission operations, and software development with an emphasis on embedded systems is required. Experience with embedded processors/microcontrollers, embedded Linux, software configuration management, issue tracking tools, agile development, and various interface buses/protocols is also necessary.
The position offers a competitive base salary range of $145,000 to $205,000, depending on experience, skills, and location.
