Senior Systems Engineer – Performance & Reliability

Graphcore is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Performance & Reliability team in London, UK. This team is responsible for evaluating large-scale Linux systems, from single racks to data center scale, ensuring they meet our stringent performance and reliability standards. As part of Graphcore, a leader in AI compute technology, you'll contribute to delivering cutting-edge solutions within the rapidly expanding AI ecosystem.

In this role, you will design and implement workloads that assess system behavior, build execution systems for large-scale experiments, and interpret results to determine system readiness for production. Your work will involve expanding measurement coverage from small clusters to full racks, defining criteria for acceptable system performance, and collaborating across teams to ensure comprehensive evaluations.

The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering experience across multiple projects or systems over several years, proficiency in Python, and experience working in Linux-based environments, particularly with distributed or high-performance systems. Familiarity with automation and CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions is essential. Additionally, the ability to design and run meaningful experiments, interpret results accurately, and communicate findings effectively is crucial.
