Senior Systems Engineer, OS Automation
CoreWeave is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our SysEng HAVOCK team, focusing on Hardware, Acceleration, Virtualization, Operating Systems, Containerization, and Kernel. This role involves stabilizing and scaling our Linux OS and Kernel build pipelines, and leading the transition to AI-native infrastructure by developing intelligent workflows that proactively address system errors.
Key responsibilities include designing and automating reproducible OS image build pipelines for our extensive fleet of GPU-accelerated servers, collaborating with kernel engineers to package and distribute custom Linux builds across various architectures, and building tools to manage dependencies and release workflows. Additionally, the role involves standardizing build metrics collection, architecting AI agents for real-time log analysis and error remediation, designing machine learning workflows to detect system regressions, implementing dynamic kernel tuning systems, and developing LLM-driven interfaces for internal tools.
The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience in Linux Systems Engineering, Release Engineering, or DevOps, with deep knowledge of Linux internals, package management, and build systems. Strong proficiency in Python is essential, along with experience integrating API-based AI models into software workflows, understanding of RAG architectures, and experience in event-driven automation. Familiarity with data structures for vector search or time-series analysis is also required.
The base salary range for this position is $153,000 to $242,000, determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
