Senior Structural Engineer
Six Construct, a subsidiary of the BESIX Group, is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join its Dubai Engineering Department. This role involves managing technical aspects and coordinating with site teams and project consultants for both permanent and temporary structural design packages under the supervision of Senior Project Managers. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team working on diverse and complex projects across the Middle East.
Key responsibilities include conducting structural peer reviews, performing structural analysis and compliance checks, and assessing constructability and temporary stages. The role also involves collaborating with the Engineering, Project, and Leadership teams to optimize designs and propose risk mitigation strategies. Proficiency in schematic and detailed analysis and design of steel structures, as well as conventionally reinforced, precast, and post-tensioned concrete elements, is essential.
Candidates should hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering. Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles, proficiency in structural analysis, and a strong understanding of Australian building codes, standards, and construction practices are required. Experience across a broad range of markets and large-scale, complex projects, particularly in long-span steel structures and post-tensioned detailed design, is highly desirable.
