Senior Sourcing Specialist
Oklo is seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist to lead complex sourcing and purchasing efforts for critical reactor modules and high-value hardware assemblies. This role is pivotal in executing competitive sourcing strategies for technically intensive components and serves as a key commercial interface with strategic suppliers. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, the position collaborates closely with engineering, legal, and program leadership to meet cost, quality, capacity, and schedule objectives.
Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end sourcing activities for complex assemblies and critical components, developing and managing RFP packages, conducting detailed bid analyses, and driving supplier selection decisions. The role also involves negotiating pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers, issuing and managing purchase orders aligned with program milestones, supporting cost-reduction initiatives, identifying supply risks and implementing mitigation plans, partnering with Global Supply Managers and engineering teams to execute category strategies, and driving continuous improvement in supplier performance and responsiveness.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or a related field, along with over five years of sourcing or supply chain experience in a hardware manufacturing environment. Experience leading sourcing for complex, highly engineered components, strong commercial negotiation skills, analytical capability, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications are essential. Experience operating in cross-functional product development environments is also required. U.S. citizenship is mandatory for this role.
Oklo offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 to $140,000, along with flexible time off, equity, 401(k), health insurance, FSA, flexible work hours, and other benefits. The company requires remote employees to travel to headquarters in Santa Clara, CA, twice a quarter, with an initial two-week in-person onboarding period.
