The Senior Sourcing Specialist - Indirect at xAI is a pivotal role within our progressive procurement organization, dedicated to redefining traditional procurement methodologies. This position focuses on managing indirect supplier relationships and spearheading SG&A spend reduction initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive value and foster strategic partnerships with suppliers.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing sourcing strategies for assigned categories to mitigate risks and achieve departmental targets, such as optimizing payment terms and realizing cost savings. The role involves cultivating and maintaining essential internal stakeholder relationships to create strategic sourcing models that enhance the value of products and services aligned with business unit requirements. Additionally, the specialist will conduct advanced quantitative analyses to assess the financial impact of decisions, perform market research, and manage contracts to ensure supplier compliance and performance.
Candidates should possess an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in fields such as engineering, purchasing, contract negotiation, material or production planning, operations, or supply chain management. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience is acceptable. Preferred qualifications include experience in purchasing or supply chain roles, proficiency in technologies like MS Office Suite, SQL, and PowerBI, and exceptional analytical and organizational skills. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills across all organizational levels, and the capacity to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment are also highly valued.
