Senior Software Engineer - Java, Ruby (x/f/m)
Doctolib is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Berlin-based international team focused on enhancing the performance, features, and design of the core Scheduling System used by healthcare professionals. This role involves transitioning from a monolithic application to an independent runtime, leveraging modern event-driven, distributed technologies to build a critical service that supports high throughput and scalability.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new features, improving user experience through design updates, and maintaining high code quality standards. You will lead the delivery of roadmap items, contribute to establishing the technical vision, and help minimize the bug backlog. Your expertise will be instrumental in continuously improving development processes and ensuring the scalability of the system.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience, with a strong background in distributed systems at large scale. Proficiency in Ruby and Kotlin is essential, along with a willingness to learn new technologies. A solid understanding of testing, code refactoring, and developing efficient, maintainable, and secure products is required. Experience in a hyper-growth tech environment and familiarity with technologies such as Postgres, Redis, Typescript, Java, and Kafka are advantageous.
