Senior Software Engineer, Identity
Peregrine Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Identity team, which focuses on enabling collaboration and data sharing across our platform. This team is responsible for managing data permissions and defining user and organization management and collaboration. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have significant ownership across our technology stack, making decisions that will have a lasting impact on our platform's development.
In this role, you will tackle complex challenges such as designing scalable permission systems to manage access to vast amounts of data across numerous organizations. You will build intuitive controls that allow organizations to decide what data to share, when to share it, and with whom. Additionally, you will architect frameworks for secure collaboration, enabling seamless partnerships while maintaining data sovereignty and compliance. Your work will also involve creating advanced sharing mechanisms that balance openness and security to unlock the full potential of cross-organizational collaboration.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, and at least 5 years of experience working with cross-functional software development teams. You should have experience shipping and iterating on production-grade software components professionally or in the open-source community. A solid understanding of architecting and scaling distributed software systems, along with strong best practices in modern software development and comfort navigating large codebases, is essential.
The position is based in New York, NY, with a salary range of $130,000 to $250,000 annually, plus benefits, equity (if applicable), and bonus (if applicable). Actual compensation is influenced by factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, certifications or licenses, and specific work location.
