Senior Software Engineer (Backend Platform)

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the backend services that power our user-friendly iOS and Android apps, as well as our global website.
In this role, you will design and implement end-to-end features within your squad, participate in architectural discussions, and propose improvements across our services and APIs. You will work with event-driven systems, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with Product, Data, and other Engineering teams to enhance our platform and developer experience. Additionally, you will take ownership of core components, lead by example through code reviews and mentoring, and contribute to best practices in areas like scalability, observability, and system design.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of good practices, testing, and design patterns, and be proficient in business English. You should have experience delivering code from development to production, implementing and consuming RESTful APIs, and working with relational databases and SQL. Experience with Python (Django/Flask), PostgreSQL, Redis, event streaming platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, and cloud technologies like AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is highly desirable. Familiarity with agile methodologies and handling services with high concurrency and high-volume requests will be advantageous.
Fever offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from €50,000 to €75,000, with the potential to earn a significant bonus for top performance.
