As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at Flex, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and quality of our products. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely within the United States, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality releases.

In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and optimizing automated test frameworks for complex product areas, ensuring high reliability and maintainability. Your day-to-day tasks will include designing, developing, and maintaining robust automated test suites for API, UI, and integration testing. You will lead test strategy development, perform risk analysis for major features and systems, and integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery processes. Additionally, you will proactively identify systemic quality issues and drive cross-team process improvements to enhance coverage and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with over four years of experience in software development and test automation. Advanced proficiency in multiple programming languages and test automation frameworks is essential. Deep experience in designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or RestAssured is required. Strong expertise in API, UI, and integration testing, as well as proficiency in CI/CD pipeline integration and optimization, are also necessary. Excellent cross-functional communication and mentorship skills are highly valued.

Flex offers a competitive compensation package that varies depending on your primary work location. For Tier A locations (e.g., NYC/SF), the salary range is $136,000 to $170,000 USD; for Tier B, $122,400 to $153,000 USD; and for Tier C, $115,600 to $144,500 USD.
