The Senior Risk & Fraud Lead (LATAM) at Docplanner is a pivotal role within the Legal, Risk & Compliance function, tasked with establishing and driving comprehensive risk management, fraud prevention, AML/KYC, and payment control frameworks across Latin America. This senior individual contributor position offers high autonomy and is instrumental in enabling safe business and payment expansions throughout the region.
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing operational risk management frameworks, conducting risk assessments, and establishing mitigation strategies to support LATAM expansion and ongoing operations. The role also involves designing and implementing fraud detection and prevention programs across LATAM markets, including advanced monitoring systems and response protocols. Additionally, the lead will establish and maintain robust anti-money laundering and know-your-customer programs aligned with regional regulatory requirements and international standards.
The ideal candidate possesses senior-level experience in risk management, fraud prevention, and AML/compliance across multiple business functions. A strong background in fintech, payments, financial services, e-commerce, or marketplaces with proven operational risk management expertise is essential. Hands-on experience across multiple LATAM markets, with a deep understanding of regional risk landscapes, is required. Proficiency in English and Spanish is mandatory, while Portuguese is considered advantageous.
