Divergent is a technology company that has developed the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS), an end-to-end factory system utilizing machine learning to engineer, additively manufacture, and assemble complex vehicle structures and subsystems. As a Senior Quality Engineer at Divergent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and processes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for high-precision manufacturing.

In this role, you will lead initiatives to improve process efficiency and reduce defects by analyzing quality and production data to identify trends and root causes. You will implement robust process controls, standardize inspection procedures, and optimize inspection strategies using advanced tools such as Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming. Additionally, you will manage nonconformance activities, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions, and develop dashboards to monitor key performance indicators like yield and defect rates.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in quality initiatives focused on process improvement and defect reduction in manufacturing environments. Proficiency in tools such as Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis is essential. Knowledge of advanced inspection methods, including CMM programming and Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies, is also required. Strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are crucial for success in this role.

Divergent offers a comprehensive compensation package, including a competitive salary, equity plan, and discretionary results-based incentive bonuses. Employees enjoy paid vacation, sick time, company holidays, and a year-end shutdown. Health and wellness benefits include HMO and Premium PPO options, company-sponsored life insurance, and short and long-term disability coverage. Professional development is supported through reimbursement opportunities for learning initiatives, empowering employees to continuously expand their skill sets.

Joining Divergent means becoming part of a collaborative, dynamic, and high-performing team within a fast-paced, mission-driven company. We are disrupting the traditional manufacturing industry by fostering innovation and integrating people and technology to reduce our environmental footprint. This role offers significant growth opportunities and the chance to shape the future of technology and production.
