Senior Project Accountant
The Senior Project Accountant at Hut 8 is responsible for overseeing the financial management of construction projects within the company. This role involves tracking project costs, managing fixed assets, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The position is based at Hut 8's corporate headquarters in the Brickell area of Miami, Florida.
Key responsibilities include tracking, analyzing, and reporting project costs, including capital expenditures and operating expenses. The Senior Project Accountant will collaborate with project managers and team members to address financial needs and resolve discrepancies. Utilizing accounting software such as NetSuite and Excel, the role involves creating reports and performing data analysis to support project requirements. Regular reconciliations are performed to verify data integrity, and the individual will assist in testing and improving processes related to accounting and project management.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field and has over three years of experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction industry. Proficiency in NetSuite software is preferred. The role requires the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment, strong communication skills to interact professionally with various stakeholders, and familiarity with financial reporting and reconciliation processes. Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality in work are essential.
