Senior Power Electronics Controls Engineer
Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Controls Engineer to join our team in Newark, CA. This role focuses on developing hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test platforms for our on-board charging systems, contributing to our mission of delivering cutting-edge electric vehicles.
The successful candidate will be responsible for modeling various AC/DC and DC/DC topologies using HIL platforms, developing and verifying control strategies, and conducting theoretical analyses to optimize power converter efficiencies. Additionally, the role involves creating automated HIL test cases and validating results according to system requirements.
Candidates must hold a PhD in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. In-depth knowledge of power electronics topologies such as PFC, DAB, and LLC is essential. Hands-on experience with industrial HIL platforms like Typhoon or RT-Box, proficiency in MATLAB Simulink and PLECS, and familiarity with FPGA optimization are required. Experience in embedded software development, particularly with C language and microcontrollers, is also necessary.
Lucid Motors offers a competitive compensation package, with a base salary ranging from $158,400 to $217,800 annually.
