Senior Plant & Equipment Engineer
BESIX Group is seeking a Senior Plant & Equipment Engineer to join its Plant & Equipment department, which manages a diverse fleet of capital equipment for civil construction projects and foundation machines. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to BESIX's extensive operations across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Australia.
The Senior Plant & Equipment Engineer will lead the mobilization and demobilization of equipment for both national and international projects. Responsibilities include providing expert support to on-site operational teams, collaborating with the methods department, overseeing the technical and administrative management of the equipment fleet, mentoring junior engineers, and conducting regular equipment inspections to support local teams on international assignments.
Candidates must possess a master's degree in industrial or civil engineering with a specialization in mechanics or electro-mechanics, along with relevant experience in plant, equipment, or construction-related engineering. Proficiency in Dutch is mandatory, with a good knowledge of French and excellent English skills; additional languages are advantageous. A passion for machinery, a hands-on approach, strong communication skills, and flexibility to travel worldwide for assignments up to one month are essential.
