Senior Paralegal/Senior Contracts Manager
Oruka Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Paralegal/Senior Contracts Manager to join our dynamic legal team. This role is integral to managing the full lifecycle of contracts and supporting a broad spectrum of legal matters within our growing public biopharmaceutical company. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and contribute significantly to our mission of developing novel biologics for chronic skin diseases.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the entire contracts process—from intake and review to negotiation support, execution, and archiving. The role involves maintaining and enhancing contract management systems, drafting and reviewing routine agreements such as confidentiality agreements and clinical trial agreements, and serving as a liaison with internal teams to ensure timely contract execution. Additionally, the position supports corporate governance by maintaining corporate records and managing state filings, assists with public company obligations including securities filings and compliance initiatives, and contributes to special projects as assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree, with a paralegal certificate or equivalent preferred, and have 5–7+ years of experience in paralegal or contracts management roles, preferably within the life sciences or biopharmaceutical industry. Strong organizational skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and proficiency with contract management systems like SharePoint are essential. The ability to manage multiple projects, work independently, and exercise sound judgment in a dynamic environment is crucial.
Oruka Therapeutics offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $161,000 to $187,000, equity options, and a performance-related bonus opportunity.
