Senior Paralegal

Metropolitan Commercial Bank is seeking a Senior Paralegal to lead the management of legal processes and discovery operations within the organization. Reporting to the Associate Legal Counsel - Litigation, this role involves overseeing the intake, tracking, and resolution of legal documents served to the bank, including subpoenas, levies, garnishments, and court orders. The Senior Paralegal will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with legal procedures.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and prioritizing incoming legal documents, developing standardized procedures for their handling, and coordinating with internal departments and external parties such as law enforcement and government agencies. The role also entails maintaining detailed records for audit purposes, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local laws, and supporting internal and external audits related to legal processes. Additionally, the Senior Paralegal will manage the legal process platform, monitor its performance, and liaise with vendors to resolve technical issues.

The ideal candidate will possess exemplary administrative skills, exceptional attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Excel, e-discovery platforms, and legal process management systems is preferred. A self-starter attitude with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure is crucial for success in this role.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $135,000 annually, reflecting base wages exclusive of benefits, bonuses, or incentive pay.
