The Senior Operations Business Analyst role at Checkr is a pivotal position within the Operations Insights & Analytics team, specifically supporting Truework's operations. Truework, recently acquired by Checkr, provides essential employment and income information for various sectors, including mortgage loans and background checks. This role is based in Nashville, Tennessee, and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on enhancing operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.

In this role, the analyst will be responsible for building and maintaining models related to cost, headcount, and operational performance to inform leadership decisions. They will track and analyze team performance on a weekly basis, identifying trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency gains. Additionally, the analyst will translate technical findings into clear recommendations for stakeholders at all levels, from operational teams to executive leadership.

The position requires defining and standardizing key operational metrics, consolidating and rebuilding existing dashboards, and building production dashboards and self-service reporting in Omni Analytics. The analyst will also improve and expand existing data models to support reliable analytics across Truework’s operations, write and maintain dbt models, manage data pipelines, and work with raw database schemas to strengthen analytical foundations. Identifying and fixing data quality issues before they become reporting problems is also a key responsibility.

Candidates should have over five years of experience in analytics or data engineering, preferably in high-growth or startup environments. Advanced SQL skills, hands-on experience with data modeling and pipeline tools like dbt or Airflow, and strong BI experience with tools such as Looker or Tableau are essential. The role also demands comfort working in ambiguous environments, strong communication skills, and a proactive, action-oriented mindset.
