The Senior Oligonucleotide Chemist at Eurofins is responsible for developing, optimizing, validating, and executing analytical methods to support oligonucleotide API, drug substance, and drug product testing. This role focuses primarily on HPLC/UHPLC and mass spectrometry techniques for identity, purity/impurity profiling, quantitation, and stability assessments. The chemist will author methods, protocols, and reports, ensure data integrity and compliance within GxP environments, and provide technical leadership for routine testing and investigations, as well as mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities include performing a variety of analytical tasks for the validation of methods used in testing drug products and raw materials, utilizing procedures such as HPLC, GC, UV/Vis, and dissolution. The chemist will read, understand, and interpret diverse analytical procedures, conduct analytical investigations, troubleshoot instrumentation, and communicate with vendors when required. Additionally, the role involves training and mentoring junior staff in laboratory procedures and managing and discussing projects with clients.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude are essential. Candidates should have a BS or MS degree in analytical chemistry or a related field, with corresponding industry experience: BS with 4+ years, MS with 2+ years, or PhD with 1+ year. Experience with oligonucleotides and drug product testing, as well as 3-5 years of experience with LC chromatographic validation in a GMP environment, is required. Authorization to work in the U.S. without immediate or future sponsorship is also necessary.
