Senior Network Engineer - Solution Test
Arista Networks is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our Solution Test team. This team is dedicated to ensuring the quality of Arista's products by conducting comprehensive system testing in large, complex, and feature-rich environments. The role involves emulating our most strategic customers' networks to validate performance and reliability.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with development, sales, and other engineering teams to understand testing requirements, planning and building network topologies to test various use cases, configuring hardware and tools to emulate required environments, executing exhaustive test plans focusing on performance and scalability, and troubleshooting issues to assist the development team in root cause analysis and fix verification.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in telecommunications, computer engineering, or computer networking, along with over 10 years of experience working on complex end-to-end environments, including design and hands-on tasks such as deployments, implementation, and migration. A strong understanding of layer 2 and layer 3 technologies, detailed knowledge of switch administration, familiarity with Linux tools, and some experience with scripting languages like Python or TCL are essential. Strong written and oral communication skills, a drive to improve quality, and a curiosity to learn new technologies are also important.
Arista Networks offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $105,000 to $145,000 per year, depending on experience and location. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, wellbeing programs, income protection, and a Group Retirement Savings Plan. Employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and equity awards.
