Axon is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer II to join our dynamic team in Scottsdale, Arizona. In this position, you will lead the product development process from conceptualization through manufacturing. Responsibilities include generating and analyzing high-fidelity prototypes, performing detailed mechanical analyses such as FEA and tolerance assessments, and collaborating with both domestic and international stakeholders. You will work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the creation of innovative product architectures and ensuring designs meet high standards for functionality and manufacturability.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, with a minimum of nine years in product design, particularly in high-end consumer electronic products. Proficiency with 3D CAD software like Creo, experience in designing plastic injection molded, stamped metal, die-cast, and machined parts, and familiarity with adhesives and bonded joint design are essential. Additionally, experience with PCB/PCBA flex circuit integration, strong DFM/DFA skills, and the ability to balance and prioritize conflicting design constraints through analysis and creativity are required.
