Senior Marketing Data Scientist
SoFi is seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Scientist to join the Marketing Data Science (MDS) team. The MDS team plays a crucial role in enabling data-driven decisions across SoFi's Marketing organization through robust analytics, modeling, experimentation, and measurement. This role focuses on supporting the development and execution of top-tier marketing strategies within the Direct Mail (DM) channel, a key driver of revenue and new account acquisition for SoFi's diverse product offerings.
The Senior Marketing Data Scientist will manage end-to-end Direct Mail campaigns, including pre-screened and invitation-to-apply initiatives across various products. Responsibilities encompass identifying underwriting, marketing, and suppression rules, defining data sources and logic, executing code, validating results, managing approvals, and tracking campaign performance. The role also involves collaborating with marketing managers, channel owners, and third-party partners to identify opportunities for improvement and enhanced efficiency.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of relevant marketing experience in the financial services industry, particularly focusing on pre-screened or pre-approved campaigns, is required. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Tableau is essential, along with experience in building data pipelines using Airflow, preferably in Snowflake. Demonstrated experience with experimentation, hypothesis testing, and knowledge of statistical modeling or machine learning are advantageous.
The base pay range for this role is $128,000 to $240,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
