Senior Machine Learning Scientist, LLM

Appier is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist specializing in Large Language Models (LLMs) to join our Enterprise Solution Science Team. This team focuses on applying advanced machine learning technologies to real-world marketing challenges by integrating them with omnichannel customer data. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of LLM applications, from problem definition to deploying models into production environments.

Key responsibilities include working on LLM-related topics such as agents, chatbots, copilots, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems. You will collaborate with product teams to translate business needs into well-defined machine learning problems, work closely with ML engineers to ensure reliable and maintainable model deployment, and conduct both offline and online evaluations to continuously optimize model performance. Staying abreast of the latest research and proactively proposing innovative applications will also be essential.

The ideal candidate will possess a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, along with over three years of experience in machine learning or engineering roles. Experience in building and deploying enterprise-level LLM applications, familiarity with LLM evaluation techniques, hands-on experience with multi-step reasoning and modular workflows, and proficiency in using LLM-powered tools are required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a passion for new technologies, and experience in cross-functional collaboration are also essential.

Preferred qualifications include industry experience in the MarTech domain, experience with LLM toolkits or frameworks like LangChain, AutoGen, or Google ADK, familiarity with prototyping tools such as Streamlit or Gradio, and knowledge of fine-tuning or adaptation techniques like LoRA or instruction tuning.
