Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Large Systems)
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in the Applied AI team at Graphcore, you will develop and optimize AI models tailored to our specialized hardware. This role focuses on large-scale systems where performance is critical. Collaborating closely with Software Development and Research teams, you will identify opportunities to innovate and differentiate Graphcore's technology.
Key responsibilities include implementing the latest machine learning models and optimizing them for performance and accuracy, scaling to thousands of accelerators. You will test and evaluate new internal software releases, provide feedback to software engineering teams, make necessary code fixes, and conduct code reviews. Additionally, you will benchmark models and key machine learning techniques to identify performance bottlenecks and improve model efficiency.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. Proficiency in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or JAX, strong Python or C++ software development skills, and expertise in deep learning from model training to optimization and evaluation are essential. Experience in distributed training or inference of machine learning models across 64 or more accelerators is also required.
