Senior Machine Learning Engineer
Fisher Phillips, a leading international labor and employment law firm, is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their newly established AI group. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with legal practice groups, business departments, and technology teams to develop and implement generative AI solutions that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency across the firm.
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of AI product development, including designing data pipelines, training and fine-tuning large language models, and deploying services into production environments. Collaboration with legal practice stakeholders will be essential to shape the product roadmap and ensure that AI solutions effectively address complex business and compliance challenges.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least five years of experience in machine learning, including three and a half years in commercial ML projects. Proficiency in Python, particularly in data science and ML projects, is required. Experience with natural language processing, including working with large language models (LLMs), fine-tuning, pruning, quantization, and knowledge distillation, is highly desirable. Familiarity with AI services from cloud providers and machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost, Keras, and statsmodels is also beneficial.
Compensation for this role includes a competitive salary, with a range of $135,000 to $155,000 annually. Additional benefits and perks are provided to support the well-being and professional growth of employees.
