Senior Litigation Counsel
The Senior Litigation Counsel at xAI will lead litigation efforts, including drafting briefs and taking depositions, and provide strategic legal advice across various disputes, such as commercial litigation and class action lawsuits. This role requires a seasoned attorney with deep litigation experience, exceptional judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key responsibilities include litigating all phases of litigation, advising internal stakeholders on legal strategy and dispute resolution, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address legal issues impacting xAI’s platform and operations, overseeing external counsel to ensure cost-effective and high-quality legal representation, and staying abreast of evolving legal and regulatory landscapes, particularly in technology, privacy, and free speech.
Candidates should possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, active membership in the New York, California, or Texas State Bar, and a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in high-stakes matters. A proven track record of winning cases, exceptional brief-writing and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are essential.
Compensation includes a base salary ranging from $225,000 to $285,000 USD, complemented by equity, comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, access to a 401(k) retirement plan, short and long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and various other discounts and perks.
