Senior Legal Counsel (f/m/x)
As a Senior Legal Counsel at AUTO1 Group, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the expansion of our captive finance activities into new products and jurisdictions. Collaborating closely with the Structured Finance team and external advisors, you will oversee the negotiation, execution, and ongoing management of financing transactions, including public and private asset-backed securities (ABS), static pools, and warehouse facilities. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policy requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Your primary responsibilities will include acting as a strategic legal business partner on financing and regulatory matters, reviewing and negotiating transaction documentation, and advising on applicable regulatory frameworks. Additionally, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of all financing documentation to effectively communicate key obligations, risks, and limitations to internal stakeholders. Monitoring and managing existing financing structures and related legal obligations will also be a critical aspect of your role.
The ideal candidate will possess a law degree and be a fully qualified lawyer with at least three years of relevant professional experience in finance, structured finance, or capital markets. A strong knowledge of financing transactions and legal documentation is essential, along with the ability to work cross-functionally and communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders. Experience in multi-jurisdictional environments and expertise in banking law and related regulatory matters are highly desirable. Fluency in English and German is required, with knowledge of another European language considered a plus.
