Senior Lawyer - Corporate Transactions & Advisory, Luxembourg
Clifford Chance, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Senior Lawyer to join its Corporate Transactions & Advisory team in Luxembourg. This role involves advising major local and international companies on public and private mergers and acquisitions, disposals, demergers, joint ventures, restructurings, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on complex cross-border transactions. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic, multicultural team that collaborates closely with specialists across various practice areas to deliver integrated legal solutions.
Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating key transaction documents, leading due diligence processes, coordinating cross-border deal teams, and working directly with clients and their advisors. The role also involves collaborating with experts in finance, capital markets, competition, and tax to provide comprehensive support across all aspects of corporate activity. This position offers the opportunity to be at the center of high-value transactions that have a significant impact on clients' businesses.
The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer, either already registered with the Luxembourg Bar or able to do so promptly. They should have 5-7 years of relevant experience in mergers and acquisitions, ideally with a leading law firm. Fluency in English and German is required; proficiency in French is highly desirable, and Luxembourgish is considered an asset. The candidate should possess a sharp, analytical mind with strong commercial instincts, be reliable, rigorous, and dynamic, and have the ability to simplify complex issues and provide clear, confident advice.
