Senior Jira Administrator
Canonical is seeking a Senior Jira Administrator to oversee the administration, configuration, automation, and integration of Atlassian Jira Cloud within the organization. This role is part of the Commercial Systems team, which manages various business systems to ensure efficient data flow and process automation across the company. Canonical is a leading provider of open-source software and operating systems, known for its Ubuntu platform, and operates globally with a distributed workforce.
The Senior Jira Administrator will be responsible for managing the Atlassian Jira Cloud platform, designing and implementing processes and automation within Jira, and integrating Jira with the company's data warehouse. Additionally, the role involves creating analytical dashboards to support data-driven decision-making, developing scalable learning resources, collaborating with engineering, operations, and support teams worldwide, and handling critical escalations promptly.
Candidates should have an exceptional academic background and experience as a Jira administrator, with a solid understanding of common Jira usage patterns across various departments. Proficiency in Python programming is required, along with excellent written and spoken English skills. The role demands strong interpersonal abilities, curiosity, flexibility, accountability, and the capacity to collaborate remotely with a diverse team. Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for company events is also necessary.
