Senior IT Devops engineer
As a Senior IT DevOps Engineer at Eurofins, you will serve as a crucial link between cloud architects and regional and local IT teams, as well as business stakeholders. Your primary role will involve assisting application teams in modernizing their applications to align with cloud-based deployments and contemporary authentication methods. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to Eurofins' mission of providing comprehensive analytical testing services across various industries.
Your key responsibilities will include designing and implementing cloud-based solutions on platforms such as Azure, AWS, and OpenStack. You will lead and mentor a small DevOps team, manage and optimize multiple Kubernetes clusters (including AKS, EKS, and Rancher), and implement and maintain Terraform-based release and configuration management solutions. Additionally, you will collaborate with various IT teams to adopt and implement new standards and practices, and provide support during major incidents.
To be successful in this role, you should have at least five years of hands-on experience in complex IT environments, with extensive knowledge of IT services and their interrelationships. Essential skills include proficiency in AWS operations and infrastructure, strong Linux/Windows OS administration and scripting abilities (preferably with PowerShell DSC), deep knowledge of Kubernetes, and experience with monitoring and alerting systems like DataDog, Icinga, or Nagios. Familiarity with identity and access management using EntraID (Azure AD), automation tools such as Terraform, DSC, Ansible, Helm, and Azure DevOps, as well as solid networking knowledge, are also required. Advanced English language proficiency is necessary for effective communication.
