Senior International Tax Specialist
Fever, a leading global tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is seeking a Senior International Tax Specialist to join our Finance team in Madrid. This role is pivotal in supporting Fever's international tax strategy and compliance framework, ensuring alignment with global regulations and the company's cross-border operating model. The successful candidate will report directly to the International Tax Manager.
Key responsibilities include structuring cross-border operations to align with tax treaties and local regulations, reviewing and advising on permanent establishment risks, withholding taxes, and treaty relief applications to optimize international transactions. The role also involves collaborating with Finance, Legal, and Expansion teams on intercompany flows, financing arrangements, and profit repatriation strategies, as well as supporting expansion into new countries. Monitoring global tax developments, assessing their business implications, and proactively proposing compliance or efficiency measures are also essential duties.
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Law, Finance, or Economics with a focus on International Taxation and possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in international tax, ideally within a multinational group or advisory firm. Proven experience with OECD BEPS 2.0 Pillar 2, Digital Services Tax, and international tax treaty application is required. A strong understanding of cross-border structuring, withholding taxes, and permanent establishment risk management is essential. The candidate should demonstrate advanced problem-solving skills, a results-driven attitude, and excellent analytical and communication abilities. Fluency in English and comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are also necessary.
