Senior Integration & Automation Engineer

Celonis is seeking a Senior Integration & Automation Engineer to enhance operational efficiency through AI-driven automation. This role involves designing and implementing scalable automation workflows, particularly focusing on integrating core business systems like Workday. The position is based in Madrid, Spain, within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key responsibilities include developing robust automation workflows using platforms such as Make, managing data flows and transformations to ensure seamless integration between tools, and collaborating with departments like Legal, Finance, HR, and IT to identify and implement process improvements. The role also involves exploring and applying AI technologies to enhance solutions, maintaining documentation for automation workflows, and mentoring junior colleagues to foster a culture of technical excellence.

The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience building production-grade automation workflows with platforms like Make, n8n, Zapier, or Power Automate, and proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript. Hands-on experience with Workday Finance and/or HCM, including a solid understanding of underlying data models and integration tools like EIBs, Workday Studio, and Workday APIs, is essential. Additionally, practical experience in designing and deploying AI-powered workflows, strong stakeholder management skills, and a proactive, self-motivated approach are required.
