Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Peregrine Technologies is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team in New York, NY. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing the infrastructure that powers the Peregrine platform. Our company is dedicated to assisting public safety organizations and various governmental and private-sector institutions by transforming siloed data into actionable intelligence, thereby enhancing decision-making processes and outcomes.
In this role, you will be responsible for building highly available and secure production systems, architecting scalable network topologies, supporting massive data processing through our ingest engine, and accelerating the entire engineering lifecycle. Your day-to-day activities will involve leveraging technologies such as AWS GovCloud, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Pulumi, PostgreSQL, Redshift, and Elasticsearch to scale our platform and manage extensive data securely.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of architecture and scaling for large-scale software systems, proven experience in building cloud-based network systems across diverse customer environments, and extensive expertise in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). A strong foundation in database operations, particularly with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch, along with knowledge of platform, network, and data security, including compliance controls and accreditations, is essential.
The salary range for this position is $170,000 to $250,000 annually, complemented by benefits, equity (if applicable), and potential bonuses.
