Senior General Liability Attorney

Wilson Elser's Columbia office is seeking a Senior General Liability Attorney to join their dynamic team. This role offers experienced attorneys the opportunity to work with prominent national clients and collaborate with a team of skilled professionals in a leading defense litigation law firm.

The Senior General Liability Attorney will independently manage a complex defense litigation caseload from inception through resolution. Responsibilities include developing case strategies, drafting and arguing substantive motions, conducting depositions, managing discovery processes, and representing clients in various legal proceedings. The attorney will also provide strategic legal advice to clients and collaborate with colleagues on complex litigation matters.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to practice in South Carolina. A minimum of 8 years of defense litigation experience is required, with a preference for experience in general liability, premises, products, transportation, employment, or insurance litigation. Superior analytical skills, strong written and oral communication abilities, and sophisticated technical skills are essential. First-chair trial experience is a plus.
