Senior General Liability Attorney

Wilson Elser's Birmingham office is seeking a Senior General Liability Attorney with experience in general liability, personal injury, transportation, and/or catastrophic injury. This role offers attorneys with over 8 years of litigation experience the opportunity to engage with prominent national clients and assume substantial litigation responsibilities. The position provides a hybrid work arrangement, offering flexibility and the chance to collaborate with a team of experienced professionals.

The attorney will independently manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution, including trial preparation, investigations, court appearances, mediations, and depositions. Responsibilities also include close collaboration with other attorneys and partners, as well as regular communication with clients to provide case updates and reports.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to practice in Alabama. A minimum of 8 years of defense litigation experience is required, with a preference for experience in personal injury, general liability, catastrophic injury, transportation, and other civil litigation matters. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Client-facing experience and legal project management skills are preferred, and first-chair trial experience is a plus.
