Senior Full-Stack Engineer
Monks is seeking a seasoned, hands-on Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our team in California, United States. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who thrives in ambiguous environments and is eager to tackle "0-to-1" challenges. As a foundational member of a new team, you will play a pivotal role in bringing a new product to life, collaborating directly with product management and other senior engineers to define and deliver our vision.
In this position, you will be responsible for writing high-quality, maintainable code for both the backend (Python/Node/Go) and frontend (React), maintaining a balanced 50/50 split. Your duties will include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining new features from concept to production. You will work closely with Staff Engineers and Product Managers to define and refine system architecture, ensuring code quality and system reliability through comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience, with 8+ years (14+ preferred) of professional software development experience building complex, large-scale applications. A proactive and problem-solving mindset is essential, along with at least 3 years of strong, professional experience in Python, Node.js, or Go for backend development, and 3 years of professional React experience for frontend development. A commitment to comprehensive testing and excellent communication skills are also required.
Monks offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $95,000 USD, depending on experience and seniority.
