Senior Full Stack Developer (Ruby on Rails)
Prevail Legal is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our remote team. As a well-funded startup based in San Francisco, we are dedicated to modernizing legal proceedings through our innovative platform that combines secure video conferencing with intuitive tools for remote, in-person, and hybrid legal processes. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with our Chief Technology Officer and a diverse team distributed across the United States.
In this position, you will be responsible for developing end-to-end solutions using Ruby on Rails, collaborating on technical documentation for new features, and applying both object-oriented and functional programming paradigms. Your day-to-day tasks will include integrating Gen-AI tools into development workflows, maintaining strong source control practices, and ensuring the performance and scalability of our applications.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with Ruby on Rails and at least 7 years of overall coding experience. Proficiency with AWS is required, with a preference for candidates holding AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Developer – Associate. Familiarity with Gen-AI tools and their practical applications in development workflows is essential. Strong understanding of git/source control, experience with Docker, and the ability to work comfortably with both object-oriented and functional programming paradigms are also required.
