As a Senior Finance Systems Engineer at Canva, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing the company's revenue system landscape, with a primary focus on the Zuora platform. This role is integral to supporting Canva's rapid growth by ensuring accurate revenue reporting and compliance in a dynamic environment. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including Revenue Platform Engineering, Finance Data Platform, Business Data Platform, and Finance Revenue Operations, as well as external vendors.

Your key responsibilities will include developing a comprehensive understanding of Canva's B2B and B2C revenue systems, overseeing system and process improvement projects, and staying informed about changes in the revenue system landscape to manage their impact on financial reporting. You will assist the Finance team in implementing system monitoring controls and audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance, perform technical root cause analyses to troubleshoot issues, and continuously assess system performance to identify and implement optimization strategies. Maintaining relevant documentation throughout these processes is also a critical aspect of the role.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in financial systems management, particularly supporting revenue recognition domains, with a preference for experience in public companies or SOX environments. Proficiency in managing systems across their lifecycle, especially with platforms like Zuora, SAP, NetSuite, or Salesforce, is essential. Experience in implementing revenue systems and integrating them with third-party tools, as well as providing system administration and support, is required. Strong skills in SQL and data analysis tools, along with solid knowledge of revenue recognition processes and accounting standards such as IFRS 15/ASC 606, are highly valued.

Canva offers a competitive salary range for this position, from $185,000 to $237,000 annually, along with equity packages.
