Senior Finance Associate
Lightning AI is seeking a Senior Finance Associate to join our dynamic team as we scale our operations. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Infrastructure Operations, to drive strategic finance initiatives. Lightning AI, the company behind PyTorch Lightning, provides an end-to-end platform for developing, training, and deploying AI systems, serving a diverse clientele from solo researchers to large enterprises.
In this position, you will be responsible for supporting deal reviews and recommending pricing decisions, partnering with Marketing to analyze spend allocation and unit economics, and collaborating with Product teams to assess ROI for software investments. Additionally, you will work with Infrastructure Operations on capacity planning, model GPU financing structures, and support lender and investor communications. Building and maintaining financial models for P&L management, reporting, forecasting, and planning will also be key aspects of your day-to-day work.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field, along with over four years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or venture capital, preferably with a focus on software, AI, or cloud infrastructure. Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, excellent communication skills, and a strong analytical mindset are essential. Experience with capital markets, M&A, or CapEx financing, as well as familiarity with FP&A systems and data tools, will be advantageous.
Lightning AI offers a competitive compensation package, with an anticipated annual base salary ranging from $135,000 to $165,000 USD.
