Senior Finance Analyst - 6 Months FTC
WPP Media is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst for a 6-month fixed-term contract to join our UK Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role is integral to producing insightful reporting for senior management, supporting key decision-making processes, and enhancing the overall FP&A function. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various business units and contribute to driving efficiencies within the team and the broader organization.
Key responsibilities include improving the group's budgeting and forecasting processes by standardizing them across all agencies. The analyst will create and build monthly and quarterly management packs, identifying key metrics to analyze results and performance, thereby aiding strategic decision-making. Additionally, the role involves developing financial models to analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, including revenue and operating expenditure. Maintaining accurate reports and data within Adaptive, collaborating with senior members of the financial reporting team, and addressing queries during forecasting and budgeting processes are also essential duties.
The ideal candidate is a part-qualified accountant or equivalent (e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with the ability to interpret and manipulate data logically. They should possess strong skills in presenting information concisely and clearly to both financial and non-financial audiences. Effective organizational and time management skills, along with the ability to plan and prioritize tasks, are crucial. Proficiency in Excel, previous experience with Cartesis, and the ability to create dashboards are desirable.
