Senior Estimator

The Senior Estimator & Cost Planner will join the Estimating Team, contributing to the tendering of major projects within these sectors.
The Senior Estimator will play a pivotal role within the Estimating team, ensuring comprehensive consideration of resources and costs in project planning. Responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date knowledge of construction techniques and methodologies, establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders such as suppliers, subcontractors, and industry consultants, and utilizing industry software to present cost plans and tenders effectively. The role also involves preparing tenders for various contract forms, assisting in negotiations, collecting cost data from industry sources, and monitoring project costs to provide alternative solutions as needed.
Candidates should possess a degree in a relevant discipline and substantial experience in cost planning and estimating. A clear understanding of industry construction techniques and proficiency in industry-specific software are essential. The role requires strong communication skills to influence and build effective relationships at all levels, the ability to operate autonomously with sound reasoning and decision-making skills, and demonstrated leadership capabilities through productive relationships with colleagues and team members. The ability to deliver results in high-pressure environments and a high level of professionalism and maturity are also critical.
