Senior Engineering Manager, Cloud Infrastructure

As a Senior Engineering Manager for Cloud Infrastructure at Mesh, you will lead and evolve the technical foundation that powers our services. This hands-on leadership role involves direct engagement with infrastructure tasks, including writing Terraform code, managing Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters, and leading a team of engineers. Mesh is dedicated to enabling consumers to pay and be paid with any asset, bridging the gap in crypto payments to make them reliable and ubiquitous.

In this role, you will oversee and enhance our Azure cloud infrastructure, focusing on reliability, security, and cost efficiency. You will drive infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform and Terragrunt, lead container operations on Kubernetes, and build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and confident deployment processes. Additionally, you will manage our data infrastructure in the cloud, handle incident response from diagnosis through postmortem, and collaborate with security engineering to strengthen infrastructure security and achieve compliance goals.

The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of engineering experience, with significant time managing cloud infrastructure teams. Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services is preferred, but strong engineers from AWS or GCP backgrounds who are eager to work with Azure are also encouraged to apply. Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (preferably Terraform/Terragrunt), and container orchestration with Kubernetes is essential. A strong security mindset, with experience in authentication, network isolation, secrets management, and zero-trust architectures, is crucial. Experience in the payments or crypto domain is a plus, but intellectual curiosity and adaptability are highly valued.
