Senior Engineer- Data Platforms
CoreWeave is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Data Platforms Team, which specializes in managing data infrastructure, including managed databases, data ingestion, data flow, data lakes, and data retrieval for both CoreWeave and its customers. This team is responsible for developing use cases, discovering innovative solutions, automating processes, and operating our data platform infrastructure.
In this role, you will design and implement platforms to deliver data to teams, focusing on providing managed solutions through APIs. You will participate in the operations and scaling of relational data platforms, develop stream processing architectures to address scalability and reliability, and improve the performance, security, reliability, and scalability of our data platforms and related services. Additionally, you will establish guidelines and guardrails for data access and storage for stakeholder teams and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
The ideal candidate has over five years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering, enjoys assisting colleagues to achieve more with less effort, and has experience operating services in production at scale. You should be well-versed in reliability engineering concepts, understand CAP theorem and concurrency models, and be familiar with distributed NewSQL datastores such as CockroachDB, TiDB, YDB, or Yugabyte, as well as stream processing tools like NATS or Kafka. Proficiency in Go or Python and familiarity with Kubernetes for event-driven or stateful orchestration are also desired.
The base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $210,000, determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.
