Senior Electrical Manufacturing NPI Engineer
Arista Networks is seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Manufacturing New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to lead the manufacturing readiness and transfer of complex data center networking equipment, including high-speed switches, routers, and optical transport gear. This role requires deep technical expertise in high-speed signal integrity, high-density electronics, and exceptional cross-functional leadership to successfully transition products from design concept to mass production within aggressive deployment schedules.
The Senior Electrical Manufacturing NPI Engineer will serve as a critical link between design, NPI, and full-scale production teams, ensuring seamless transitions throughout the product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include leading the manufacturing readiness process for next-generation data center networking products, driving strategic planning for production line layout and capacity modeling, and defining the manufacturing technology roadmap. The role also involves conducting in-depth design reviews to maximize yield, quality, and cost-efficiency, as well as managing the manufacturing and testing of complex thermal solutions and high-speed interconnects.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline, with a Master's degree preferred. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing engineering role is required, including at least 3 years dedicated to NPI and successful high-volume product launches within the data center networking equipment industry. Technical mastery in high-layer count PCBA manufacturing, specialized soldering/rework for BGA/FC-BGA components, and process control for large-format electronic boards is essential. Additionally, expertise in designing and qualifying production Functional Test systems and applying advanced statistical and quality tools is expected.
The new hire base pay for this role ranges from $140,000 to $175,000, with potential eligibility for discretionary bonuses and equity.
