Senior Database Reliability Engineer (x/f/m)
Doctolib is seeking a Senior Database Reliability Engineer to join its Database Optimization team within the Platform division. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of the company's datastores, supporting Doctolib's mission to improve healthcare access through innovative technology solutions. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of Site Reliability Engineers and Software Engineers to enhance the platform's efficiency and scalability.
Key responsibilities include maintaining high availability of datastores through observability, automation, and process improvements. The role involves handling database infrastructure maintenance, including upgrades, performance optimization, and capacity planning. Additionally, the engineer will empower feature teams by providing database tooling, guidelines, training, and support, and participate in incident response for datastore-related issues during business hours.
Candidates should have over seven years of experience as a Database Reliability Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer with strong database expertise, or Database Administrator with a focus on site reliability practices. Strong expertise in at least one core datastore such as PostgreSQL, Couchbase, or OpenSearch in high-load, high-availability environments is required. Hands-on experience with Kafka, Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is essential. Fluency in English is also required.
