Senior Database Engineer
eClinical Solutions is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join their elluminate® product development team. This role focuses on optimizing the data layer of their next-generation cloud platform, ensuring performance, scalability, and security. The position is based in Mansfield, MA, with remote work options available.
In this role, the Senior Database Engineer will manage and maintain SQL Server databases, Databricks databases, and document databases. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Software Engineering team to design and implement database structures and queries, reviewing and analyzing query code to identify and resolve performance issues, and monitoring and tuning database systems for optimal performance and reliability. The engineer will also conduct database migrations, upgrades, backups, and recovery processes as needed.
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL Server database administration, including performance tuning, backups, restores, and replication, is preferred. Strong knowledge of database management principles, relational data models, and T-SQL for creating complex queries and stored procedures is essential. Experience with cloud databases and data architecture in distributed/high-availability environments is a plus.
